Custom Framing

Artists can choose from three types of mats and dozens of mat colors:

White and black core mats

Decorative mat boards made of wood pulp buffered with calcium carbonate to slow the damage by acid and lignin.

Alphamat artcare

100% virgin alpha cellulose. Fade and bleed resistant, buffered to maintain alkaline ph. Acid and lignin free.

Rag mat

Made of cotton fibers which are naturally acid and lignin-free. Cotton is naturally free of any chemicals or pollutants that would degrade the mat board or art work.
